Les gougères

At aperitif time, La Dame de Paris offers you a few gougères to accompany your drink.

Whether they originated in Lyon or Burgundy (there’s some debate about that), they’ve been part of French gastronomy for decades. These light, delicate morsels of choux pastry and Emmental cheese are said to be the salty cousins of chouquettes. Like them, they’re a pleasure to eat, even if you’re not hungry.
